FAITH FORMATION

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth." - II Timothy 2:15

Sunday School

Adult and young adult volunteers take turns teaching for periods of 3-4 weeks at a time. Following the children's time and the choir's anthem, children in kindergarten through sixth grade go downstairs to Sunday School classes.
Pastor White offers confirmation classes for youth in grades 7 through 9.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

At 11 a.m. each Wednesday morning (except July and August), Pastor Joann White leads a Bible study in the Great Hall at the rear of the building. The group has recently been studying the Gospel of Mark and the Ten Commandments.

Adult Learning

Following worship, there are often opportunities for adults to learn and grow in faith. Pastor Joann White has offered a Lenten series, most recently on prayer, and led many book studies. There is a book group and a "Practicing the Presence" group meets monthly.
Classes for those interested in becoming members of the church are offered semi-annually.

Summer Campout

Instead of a traditional summer Vacation Bible School, a VBS Family Campout has been held in recent years at nearby state campgrounds, Fish Creek and Rollins Pond, and a summer 2010 campout has been planned at the nearby Buck Pond campground. Morning programs are planned for the youth, and all-ages crafts projects are a highlight of the experience, as are canoeing, hiking, bicycle riding, and swimming.
