God, our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, calls the First Presbyterian Church of Saranac Lake to love and serve one another and the world around us with joy and thanksgiving. We are a congregation that prays and supports each other and seeks to forgive and be forgiven. We aim to share the Good News and to do God’s mission with love and compassion, both near and far.
All are welcomed here, red and yellow, black and white, rich and poor, young and old, broken and whole, doubters and believers. All are welcomed here to seek God, and to inquire into God’s good news for the world.

About Saranac Lake

Saranac Lake is located in New York State's six-million-acre Adirondack Park. Abundant timber and hydropower were vital to the village's early growth, but its greatest growth came during its long history as a center for the treatment of tuberculosis. Today, the village is home to medical research facilities and has a thriving arts community. Located just 10 miles west of two-time Olympic Winter Games host Lake Placid, Saranac Lake is about two hours from Albany, New York, Burlington, Vermont, and Montreal, Quebec, and about six hours from Boston and New York City.
